The 3M™ Cubitron™ II cloth belt 984F measures 2" x 72" and features precision shaped ceramic grain with an 80 grit rating on a YF-weight polyester cloth backing. This belt incorporates a grinding aid that enhances performance, making it suitable for medium to high pressure grinding applications on stainless steel, exotic alloys, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, and nickel alloys. It is recommended for offhand and pressure grinding on all exotic metal alloys. Typical applications include centerless and cylindrical grinding, chrome stripping, deburring, descaling, flat finishing, grinding, high pressure grinding, parting line removal, and shaping, primarily within the metalworking industry.
