The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, performs well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. The belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys, the ceramic abrasive grain is designed for enhanced toughness and hardness.
