The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 37" x 75" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for increased durability and cutting efficiency, making it suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. The belt is designed to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys with a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys, it can be used for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the blend with aluminum oxide provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress, surpassing standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability. These belts are available in various widths and lengths for sanding both wood and metal, fitting most industrial belt sanders; wider belts are used with wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels, smoothing rough-cut metal edges, or adding grain patterns to stainless steel, while medium-width belts fit edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces like panel edges, and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
