The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 37 inches by 60 inches and features a blend of 3M™ Ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in wet or dry conditions. This belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, with the abrasive bonded to the backing using resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The ceramic abrasive grain is designed to enhance toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend increases performance for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Ceramic/aluminum oxide abrasives offer superior cut-rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide alone, making this belt suitable for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. Various widths and lengths are available to fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts used for wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanding flat or narrow surfaces such as panel edges, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
