The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 37" x 60" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in both wet or dry applications. The belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, while the abrasive is resin-bonded to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys, the belt is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness and, when blended with aluminum oxide, provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Ceramic/aluminum oxide blends outperform standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making the Cloth Belt 777F well-suited for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. The abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths to accommodate sanding applications on both wood and metal, fitting most industrial belt sanders, including wide belt sanders for wood panel dimensioning and metal sheet edge smoothing, medium-width belts for edge sanding flat narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used in sanding or blending wood pieces.
