The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1-1/2" x 60" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications and performs well on heat-sensitive metals, applicable in both wet and dry conditions. This belt protects heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys with a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, while the abrasive is resin-bonded to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, the proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend improves cut-rate and durability beyond standard aluminum oxide abrasives, making it excellent for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. Available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, wider belts suit wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels, smoothing rough metal sheet edges, or adding grain patterns to stainless steel, medium-width belts fit edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges, and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
