It is designed for moderate stock removal to finishing operations and includes a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, performs well on heat-sensitive metals, and is suitable for both wet and dry use. The belt protects heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by using a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures, with the abrasive bonded to the backing by resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. It is recommended for use on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys for tasks like dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings.
