The SDS-Plus standard tip is designed to fit all SDS-Plus and Hilti TE-C rotary hammers, featuring a reduced area above the flute that prevents the drill bit from binding during operation, allowing for the full usable length to be utilized. Constructed from chrome vanadium, the shaft is through-hardened to a hardness rating of 50-53 HRC. The patented tip and flute design enhances dust removal efficiency, providing performance that is up to 25% faster than competing bits. Additionally, the shot-peened and double-tempered finish contributes to reduced breakage, while the hot isostatically pressed design extends the bit's lifespan and enhances its resistance to breakage. The use of copper braze material ensures high heat resistance to minimize tip loss. All tips are manufactured in accordance with ANSI specifications.
