The SDS-Plus standard tip is compatible with all SDS-Plus and Hilti TE-C rotary hammers, featuring a reduced area above the flute to prevent the drill bit from binding during drilling. This design allows for the full usable length of the bit to be employed. Constructed with a chrome vanadium shaft that is through-hardened to 50-53 HRC, the bit's patented tip and flute design enables dust removal that is up to 25% faster than other bits. Its shot-peened, double-tempered finish enhances durability by reducing breakage, while hot isostatic pressing extends the bit's life and improves resistance to breakage. The copper braze material provides high heat resistance, minimizing the risk of tip loss, and all tips are made to ANSI specifications.
