The SDS-Plus standard tip is compatible with all SDS-Plus and Hilti TE-C rotary hammers, featuring a reduced area above the flute that prevents binding while allowing the full usable length to be utilized. Constructed from a chrome vanadium shaft that is through-hardened to 50-53 HRC, this drill bit incorporates a patented tip and flute design that removes dust more efficiently, achieving speeds up to 25% faster than other bits. The shot-peened, double-tempered finish minimizes breakage, while the hot isostatic pressing process extends the life of the bit and enhances resistance to breakage. Furthermore, the copper braze material used provides high heat resistance, reducing the risk of tip loss. All tips are manufactured to comply with ANSI specifications.
