Quincy Lab's GCE series gravity convection ovens are constructed with high-quality UL and CSA recognized components, tailored to meet the needs of laboratories in industry, research organizations, and educational institutions. These ovens are well-suited for various applications including part drying, baking, curing, sterilizing, evaporating, heat treating, annealing, and testing. They feature a temperature range of ambient +25°F to 450°F/232°C, and their cabinets are designed with heavy steel double-wall construction for durability. The exterior is finished in light gray with a hard, scratch-resistant hammer finish, and the doors are equipped with high-impact thermoplastic handles. The work space is insulated with one inch of high-density mineral wool, and the interior is made from corrosion-resistant aluminized steel. A digital controller incorporates full PID microprocessor technology that maintains temperature settings within +/- 0.5°C (1°F), even with variations in ambient conditions or power supply, and includes large LEDs for easy monitoring of set and process temperatures, along with a setting lock mode to prevent accidental adjustments. Energy-efficient, low watt density, Incoloy sheathed elements ensure quick run-up and recovery times, while a perforated heat shield enhances temperature uniformity throughout the chamber. This unit operates at 115 volts for use in the U.S., with a 230-volt option available for international use.
