Quincy Lab AFE series ovens utilize quality UL and CSA recognized components, featuring a temperature range from ambient +25°F minimum to 450°F/232°C maximum. The cabinets, painted light gray with a hard, scratch-resistant hammer finish, combine aesthetics with durability, featuring heavy steel double-wall construction. Doors open easily with high-impact thermoplastic handles, and the workspace is insulated using one inch of high-density mineral wool, while interiors are constructed from corrosion-resistant aluminized steel. The digital control system incorporates the benefits of an analog model, offering convenient temperature setting and stability through a full PID microprocessor that maintains accuracy within +/- 0.5°C (1°F), even under fluctuating ambient or power supply conditions. The digital controller is equipped with large LEDs for continuous display of set and process temperatures, and includes a setting lock feature to prevent accidental adjustments. Energy-efficient low watt density Incoloy sheathed elements are designed for quick run-up and recovery times, while a perforated heat shield enhances temperature uniformity by evenly distributing radiant heat throughout the product chamber. The unit operates on 115 volts for U.S. use, with a 230-volt option available for international applications.
