The Interlake Tear Drop pallet rack beams are constructed from a single roll-formed piece of 16-gauge steel, featuring welded end plates that slot into the face of the Tear Drop upright frame. Each load level consists of two beams, securing loads placed within the pallet rack system. These beams are designed for compatibility with both Interlake Mecalux Tear Drop bolted and welded upright pallet rack frames. Each beam is secured using two safety, sprung-loaded locking devices that utilize a piston lock frame-to-beam connection, ensuring automatic seating and locking to prevent accidental beam displacement. The 2-3/4" W x 1-5/8" Tear Drop step beams support cross bars and decking while being certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI). Additionally, the slotted profile of the beams allows for various accessories to be latched onto them, with slotted holes positioned at 1" intervals for easy placement of items like wire decks and cross bars. When selecting a load beam, it is advised to determine the desired length by adding a minimum of 10" to the widths of two pallets or 14" for three pallets, and to ensure each pair of beams can support the weight of the pallets per level.
