The Interlake Tear Drop Pallet Rack Beams are designed as the horizontal components of a pallet rack system, supporting loads with a robust construction made from a single roll-formed piece of 16 gauge steel, featuring a continuous seam weld at the base. Each load level consists of two beams, positioned on either side of the rack's frame. These beams are compatible with both Interlake Mecalux Tear Drop bolted and welded upright pallet rack frames. The beams come with welded end plates that slot securely into the upright frame's face, and are stabilized with two safety, sprung-loaded locking devices per beam, ensuring a secure frame-to-beam connection that protects against accidental displacement. The dimensions of the Tear Drop step beams are 2-3/4" W x 1-5/8", which accommodate cross bars and decking. The product is certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI). When selecting the appropriate load beam length, it is recommended to add a minimum of 10" to two pallet widths or 14" to three pallet widths, with additional spacing possible for pallets with excessive load overhang. It is essential to ensure that each pair of beams can support the weight of the pallets per level.
