The Interlake Tear Drop Pallet Rack Beams are the horizontal components of the pallet rack system designed for load placement, constructed from a single roll-formed piece of steel with a continuous seam weld at the base. Each load level consists of two beams, positioned at each post of the frame, and is compatible with both Interlake Mecalux Tear Drop bolted and welded upright pallet rack frames. These beams feature 16 GA roll-formed construction with welded end plates that slot into the face of the Tear Drop upright frame, secured by two safety, sprung-loaded locking devices per beam. The piston lock frame-to-beam connection automatically seats and locks, preventing accidental beam displacement. The dimensions of the beams are 2-3/4" W x 1-5/8" with Tear Drop step beams accommodating cross bars and decking. Furthermore, the beams are Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI) certified for select load beams. When determining length, it is advised to add a minimum of 10" to two pallet widths or 14" to three pallet widths, with additional spacing required for pallets that have excessive load overhang, ensuring that each pair of beams can support the weight of the pallets per level.
