The Interlake Tear Drop Pallet Rack Beams are horizontal components of the pallet rack system designed to support loads, made from a single roll-formed piece of steel featuring a continuous seam weld on the base. Each load level consists of two beams, positioned at each post of the frame. These beams are compatible with Interlake Mecalux Tear Drop bolted and welded upright pallet rack frames. Constructed from 16-gauge roll-formed steel, they come with welded end plates that slot into the face of the Tear Drop upright frame. The beams are secured in the frame using two safety, sprung-loaded locking devices per beam, and the piston lock frame-to-beam connection automatically seats and locks to prevent accidental beam displacement. The dimensions of the beams are 2-3/4" W x 1-5/8", allowing for cross bars and decking placement. Additionally, these beams are certified by the Rack Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (RMI). When selecting a load beam, determine the desired length by adding a minimum of 10" to the widths of two pallets or 14" to the widths of three pallets, with additional spacing needed for pallets that exceed load overhang. Ensure that each pair of beams is capable of supporting the weight of the pallets for each level.
