Altair® 2X gas detectors utilize advanced XCell® sensor technology to enhance worker safety, compliance, and traceability while minimizing the cost of ownership and demonstrating rugged durability. The kit includes a first stand-alone bump test feature that eliminates the need for bottled gas, allowing for testing anytime and anywhere based on established scientific principles and patented sensor capabilities. It offers the fastest sensor response times and the lowest calibration gas flow rate available on the market, with an expected sensor life of 4 years. The instrument comes with a 3-year warranty for most sensors, except for Cl2 and NH3, which have a 2-year warranty. The bump test feature is indicated by a green LED flash every 15 seconds for a pass, while a red LED flash every 15 seconds denotes a bump fail or expiration, complemented by large on-screen checkmarks. It includes end-of-sensor-life warnings and alarms, recording up to 75 alarm events and 150+ hours of periodic data. Additionally, it is compatible with the MSA Galaxy® GX2 automated test system and MSA Link Pro software. The detector features tough over-molded rubber armor capable of withstanding multiple 25-ft drops onto concrete, along with agency-certified dust- and water-tight IP67 construction and an intrinsically-safe design.
