The Altair® 2XP gas detector with XCell® pulse technology is specifically designed for detecting H2S and includes a variety of advanced features. It boasts the first stand-alone bump test capability, allowing for tests to be conducted anytime and anywhere without the need for bottled gas, utilizing proven science and patented sensor technology. The device is equipped with the fastest sensor response times and the lowest calibration gas flow rate available on the market, with an expected sensor life exceeding 4 years. Warranty terms include a 3-year coverage on the instrument and most sensors, with a 2-year warranty for Cl2 and NH3 sensors. Operational indicators include a green LED flash every 15 seconds for a bump pass, accompanied by a large on-screen checkmark, while a red LED flash every 15 seconds signifies a bump fail or expiration. The detector also features an end-of-sensor-life warning and alarm, full-time traceability, and the ability to record 75 alarm events along with over 150 hours of periodic data. It is compatible with the MSA Galaxy® GX2 automated test system and MSA Link Pro software. The rugged design includes tough over-molded rubber armor that can withstand multiple 25-ft drops onto concrete, and it meets agency-certified dust- and water-tight IP67 construction standards, ensuring an intrinsically safe design.
