Steel King® SK2000® Series boltless pallet rack uprights are constructed from high strength tubular steel framing and feature built-in braces for enhanced strength. The uprights and beams are finished with a powder coat for durability. The tear-drop connection is compatible with the majority of industrial storage rack systems currently in use. The closed tube upright design provides 250% more frontal impact strength and 68% greater side impact resistance compared to an open back column, significantly improving product safety and reducing the likelihood of bending or twisting. Full fillet welds between braces and columns ensure greater strength than the spot welds typically found on other rack systems. Heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded directly to the uprights, allowing for more efficient load dispersion than conventional lighter footpads. The pallet rack beams are made of high-strength steel (minimum 55,000 P.S.I.) and are constructed from continuously welded structural tubing to avoid moisture or debris accumulation. The 1-5/8" H step beams are designed to accept optional decking (not included). Beam ends are equipped with a 3-rivet lock design with a safety lock for secure installation on uprights. Steel King engineers and manufactures to high quality standards, using only US steel for enhanced overall strength and rigidity.
