The Steel King® SK2000® pallet rack is a 96"W x 42"D x 144"D starter unit designed for robust industrial storage. This series features boltless pallet rack uprights constructed from high-strength tubular steel framing, equipped with built-in braces for added support. The powder coat finish on both uprights and beams enhances durability, while the tear-drop connection is compatible with most industrial storage rack systems currently in use. The closed tube upright design provides 250% more frontal impact strength and 68% greater side impact resistance than traditional open back columns, significantly improving safety and stability. Full fillet welds at the junction of braces and columns offer superior strength compared to common spot welds. Heavy 10-gauge footpads, which are welded directly to the uprights, effectively distribute the column load more efficiently than lighter alternatives. The pallet rack beams are made from high-strength steel, with a minimum of 55,000 P.S.I., and are constructed from continuously welded structural tubing to prevent moisture and debris accumulation. The 1-5/8"H step beams are designed to accommodate optional decking (not included), and the beam ends come with a 3-rivet lock design, featuring a safety lock for secure attachment to the uprights.
