Steel King® SK2000® series boltless pallet rack uprights are constructed from high-strength tubular steel framing and feature built-in braces for enhanced durability. The uprights and beams are finished with a powder coat, and the tear-drop connection is designed to be interchangeable with most industrial storage rack systems currently in use. The closed tube upright design provides 250% more frontal impact strength and 68% greater side impact resistance compared to open back columns, significantly improving product safety and reducing the likelihood of bending or twisting. The full fillet welds between braces and columns offer more strength than the spot welds commonly found in other rack systems. Additionally, heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded directly to the uprights, allowing for more efficient load distribution than conventional lighter footpads. The pallet rack beams are made from high-strength steel with a minimum yield strength of 55,000 P.S.I. and are constructed from continuously welded structural tubing for enhanced durability, with the design preventing moisture and debris accumulation. The 1-5/8"H step beams accept optional decking (not included), while beam ends feature a 3-rivet lock design with a safety lock to ensure secure installation on the uprights. All components are manufactured to high quality standards using only US steel, ensuring greater overall strength and rigidity.
