The CM® Flat Eye Rigging Hook with Latch has a capacity of 3000 lbs and is specifically designed for use with synthetic slings. This rigging hook features a wide, smooth load-bearing surface that prevents damage to synthetic materials, thereby promoting longer sling life. The flat eye opening eliminates bunching and pinching of the synthetic sling, allowing it to be used at full capacity. With high sling strength, the flat eye design significantly enhances the strength of synthetic slings compared to standard round eye-type fittings, and the eye width exceeds WSTDA recommended radii to maximize ultimate synthetic strength. The hook's smooth, flat bearing surface also prevents abrasive damage to the sling, ensuring a longer lifespan. Constructed from quenched and tempered alloy steel, it is both strong and durable, and can be used with either web or round slings, provided that the working load limits are compatible. The hook is available with or without latches and utilizes the same latches as other standard CM rigging hooks. It features a 5:1 design factor, is CE compliant, and meets or exceeds ASME B30.10 standards, and is made in the USA.
