The CM® Flat Eye Rigging Hook Latch Kit has a capacity of 5000 lbs and is specifically designed for use with synthetic slings. It features a wide, smooth load-bearing surface that prevents damage to synthetic materials, thereby promoting longer sling life. The flat eye opening eliminates bunching and pinching of the synthetic sling, allowing it to be used at full capacity. This rigging hook delivers high sling strength, as its flat eye significantly enhances the synthetic sling's strength compared to standard round eye-type fittings. The eye width exceeds WSTDA recommended radii, ensuring maximum ultimate synthetic strength is achieved. The smooth, flat bearing surface of the hook prevents abrasive damage to the sling, contributing to its durability. Made from quenched and tempered alloy steel, the hook is strong and versatile, suitable for use with both web and round slings (with the condition that the working load limits are compatible). The kit is available with and without latches, using the same latches as standard CM rigging hooks. It has a design factor of 5:1 and is CE compliant, meeting or exceeding ASME B30.10 standards, and is made in the USA.
