The OHAUS Defender 5000 Series multifunctional bench scale is designed for a variety of applications such as production, packaging, inventory, and shipping. It features maximum configurability for print output and includes GMP/GLP data output, library/user management, and multiple connectivity options, making it suitable for demanding industrial and commercial environments. The scale is Measurement Canada approved and NTEP certified. It supports various applications including weighing, parts counting, percent weighing, and dynamic weighing with display hold. The backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) has a resolution of 256 x 80 pixels. The operation is facilitated by an internal power supply with a power cord included, or by a rechargeable battery available separately. Easy access communication ports include RS232, a micro SD slot, and options for a second RS232/RS485/USB device, Ethernet, and WiFi/Bluetooth, with discrete I/O and analog output sold separately. The construction comprises an ABS plastic indicator, a 304-grade stainless steel platform and frame, and a stainless steel IP68 indicator. The IP67 load cell is complemented by non-slip adjustable rubber feet. Key design features include a resolution of up to dual range 3,000E, 150% overload capacity, checkweighing display and beep, menu lock switch, selectable display languages, selectable filter, stability indicator, overload/underload indicators, selectable display controls, and auto print and tare functions.
