The BSC Preferred™ 1/2 cu. yd. self-dumping steel hopper features a robust design with a 2000 lb. capacity and is engineered for safety and economy. It includes an innovative bump release mechanism that allows the hopper to automatically dump on contact with the roll-off container, while ensuring it is perfectly balanced to roll forward when loaded. The hopper dumps completely and returns to an upright, locked position for reloading. Constructed with continuous welding, it prevents drippage of wet materials, although leak-proof hoppers are available upon request. The design incorporates a formed smooth edge around the top and pouring lip for enhanced safety and strength, along with extended sides to prevent side-wise scattering of materials. An added stacking feature allows for the stacking of empty hoppers, and a strong, easy-to-operate latching mechanism is included. Additionally, the kit comes with a safety chain that wraps around the mast of the forklift, ensuring that the hopper remains securely attached. Custom colors are available upon request with the provision of a Sherwin Williams paint code. Note that OSHA regulations require obtaining written approval from the manufacturer of the forklift for the use of any forklift attachments.
