Air-Care electrostatic filters are EPA registered and feature an Air-Care 18" x 24" x 1" electrostatic air filter with a MERV rating of 8. These filters utilize static electricity, a naturally occurring phenomenon, to clean the air by generating an electrostatic charge as air flows through a maze of static-prone fibers, effectively trapping airborne particles until they can be released through washing. The filters are constructed with a durable silver frame made from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, fastened at one corner with a single rivet, and the filter material is securely held in place by the fibers catching on the expanded metal support. Designed as a more economical alternative to disposable filters, Air-Care's high arrestance, low resistance permanent filters are suitable for many commercial air systems that typically use banks of 20 or 40+ 2" thick pleated filters.
