Air-Care electrostatic filters are EPA registered and designed to enhance indoor air quality. The Air-Care 14"x20"x1" electrostatic air filter has a MERV rating of 8, utilizing static electricity to attract and capture airborne particles. As air flows through a maze of static-prone fibers, an electrostatic charge is generated, which holds contaminants until the filter is washed. Constructed with a silver frame made from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, the frame is secured at one corner with a single rivet, while the filter material is held in place by fibers interlocking with expanded metal support and the airflow. Unlike traditional disposable filters commonly used in commercial air systems, which often require banks of 20 or 40+ 2" thick pleated filters, these high arrestance, low resistance permanent filters offer an economical alternative. Additional features include a high dust and particle holding capacity, anti-microbial filter media, and a limited lifetime warranty, all contributing to cleaner air without the need for replacements, harmful ozone emissions, or increased housecleaning frequency.
