The cabinets are fire rated for 1-hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for documents and paper, tested at 1700 degrees Fahrenheit, and explosion tested at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, adhering to industry standards for fire protection. They are impact rated, having been tested by dropping from 30 feet onto concrete rubble and reheating in fire conditions, which simulates actual fire scenarios. The cabinets also feature a water-resistant design, utilizing the Phoenix labyrinth sealing system and special gaskets to prevent water damage from fire hoses or sprinklers. Additionally, digital protection is provided for computer storage devices like CDs, DVDs, USB drives, and memory cards. Each drawer functions as a separate insulated container with an inner steel jacket to contain insulation, preventing fire from jumping between drawers, while also restricting access to locked drawers if one is open.
