The cabinets are fire rated for 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1-hour protection for documents and paper, tested at 1700 degrees Fahrenheit for fire resistance and explosion tested at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. They feature an impact rating, validated by a test that involves dropping the cabinet 30 feet onto concrete rubble, followed by reheating in fire, mimicking real fire conditions. The cabinets are also water resistant, utilizing the Phoenix Labyrinth sealing system and special gaskets to prevent water damage from fire hose spray or sprinklers. They provide digital protection for electronic storage devices, including CDs, DVDs, USB drives, and memory sticks/cards. An anti-tip safety mechanism ensures that no more than one drawer opens at a time, while rugged three-way suspension systems in each drawer provide stability and smooth movement.
