The UF-B Underground Feeder Cable, 10/2 AWG, 50 ft is designed for various applications including feeding outside post lamps, pumps, and other loads from a distribution point within an existing building, as outlined in the 2008 National Electrical Code. This cable can be used underground and is suitable for direct burial. It may also serve as interior branch circuit wiring in residential or agricultural buildings, maintaining conductor temperatures not to exceed 90°C, with ampacity limited to that for 60°C conductors, per National Electrical Code specifications. The UF-B cable operates at a voltage rating of 600 volts and meets or exceeds UL Standard 83, UL Standard 493, Federal Specification A-A-59544, and National Electrical Code requirements. Constructed as a 2 conductor cable without a ground wire, the cable features annealed (soft) copper conductors, either solid or compressed stranded, which are polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated and nylon jacketed, and color coded for identification. The jacket is made from a gray PVC that is resistant to sunlight, moisture, and fungus.
