The UF-B underground feeder cable, 12/3 AWG, 250 ft, is designed for use as a feeder to outside post lamps, pumps, and various other loads or apparatus fed from a distribution point in an existing building, in accordance with the 2008 National Electrical Code. This cable is suitable for underground applications, including direct burial, and may also be utilized for interior branch circuit wiring in residential or agricultural buildings at conductor temperatures not exceeding 90°C, with ampacity limited to that of 60°C conductors as per the National Electrical Code. The UF-B cable is rated for 600 volts and complies with UL standard 83, UL standard 493, Federal specification A-A-59544, and the National Electrical Code. Constructed with three conductors plus a ground wire, the cable features annealed (soft) copper conductors, either solid or compressed stranded. The phase conductors are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), housed in a nylon jacket, and are color-coded for identification. Additionally, the cable jacket is made of gray PVC that is resistant to sunlight, moisture, and fungus.
