Type RWA reduced wall aluminum flexible wiring conduit, 1-1/2 is designed for various applications including environmental air-handling spaces per NEC® 300.22(C), power and lighting branch circuit conductors, and connections for receptacles, luminaires, and office partitions. It serves as a metal raceway for wires and cables following NEC® (ANSI/NFPA-70) Article 348, accommodating motor feeder, branch, and control circuit conductors, as well as Class 1, Class 2, Class 3 remote-control, signaling, and power-limited circuit conductors. This conduit is also suitable for fire alarm system conductors, communication cables, and elevator installations as per NEC® Article 348. For lengths up to 6 feet (20A max), it can serve as a grounding conductor under NEC® 250.118(5), and it complies with safety standards for electric signs and hazardous locations. The product is UL listed per UL 1 and meets federal specification WW-C-566C with a type designation under Article 348 for flexible metal conduit. The construction consists of a lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloy, with metal strips helically formed into continuously interlocked flexible metal conduit designed to withstand impact and crushing forces.
