The 135° split point of these drill bits is self-centering, allowing for reduced thrust and easier penetration. Manufactured from high-speed steel substrate, they feature heavy-duty geometry and a black and gold (barber pole) oxide finish to minimize galling. Sizes above 11/64" include three flats on the shank for tighter chucking and reduced slippage. These bits are designed for superior rigidity in maintenance applications, particularly with low to medium carbon steel, alloy steel, and cast iron.
