The 135 Split point design is self-centering, allowing for reduced thrust and easier penetration. This drill bit is manufactured from high-speed steel substrate with heavy-duty geometry and features a black and gold (barber pole) oxide finish that minimizes galling. Sizes above 11/64" come equipped with three flats on the shank for tighter chucking and reduced slippage. The design offers superior rigidity, making it suitable for maintenance applications in low to medium carbon steel, alloy steel, and cast iron.
