The Vibratone® Horn - 0.25A 24VDC 99dB, model 450E, utilizes electro-mechanical vibration of a diaphragm to produce a very loud horn tone, capable of delivering coded blasts or sustained tones via various control devices, ranging from a push button to a PLC. This horn is well-suited for general alarm, start and dismissal, coded paging, and process control signaling in areas with high ambient noise levels, producing an output of 99dBA at 10 feet. It offers multiple mounting options including surface, flush, or semi-flush installation on walls, panels, cabinets, 4-inch square outlet boxes, or in concrete and deep wall constructions. The optional model PR projector or model PR2 double projector can be installed to direct sound output straight ahead or to the sides, optimizing performance in long, narrow rooms or corridors. The Vibratone horns are UL and CUL listed, CSA certified, and FM approved, designed for Type 4X applications with the installation of a panel mount gasket kit or weatherproof backbox (model WB), and approved for Type 4X and Type 12 applications with a surface mount trim ring. Each unit features a zinc die-cast housing sealed with grey powder-coat paint, an aluminum diaphragm, and heavy-duty contacts, making them resistant to vandalism and suitable for harsh industrial environments. Their compact size, loud output, and robust construction make them ideal for industrial and institutional signaling applications.
