The system provides alternating pressure and is designed for the prevention, treatment, and management of pressure ulcers. The "Whisper Quiet" pump produces consistent airflow and allows the mattress to operate in either alternating or static pressure mode. Special vibration isolating features ensure patient comfort by minimizing the sensation of the pump's vibrations. The system includes an LED and audible alarm to alert caregivers when pressure falls below 10 mmHg (inner mattress pressure). It features easy-to-replace individual bladders, with the mattress containing 20 air bladders, nine of which have laser holes to achieve a low air loss function, enhancing patient comfort and cooling while promoting recovery. Additionally, the kit includes a quick fill adapter and a carry bag as standard. The spring lined air tubes prevent kinks and disruption of airflow, while CPR valves allow for rapid (20-second) deflation. The 8-inch high air cells are constructed from nylon/50% PVC for added durability.
