The Delta Ultra Light Full Electric Hospital Bed with Full Rails and Innerspring Mattress is a lightweight, easily assembled electric bed model from Drive Medical, featuring interchangeable crack-proof head and foot boards made from high impact composite end panels. This bed comes with a pre-installed height adjustment motor located on the foot section, which can be tool-free installed or removed while the patient is in the bed. The single motor and junction box are designed to be self-contained, minimizing noise and potential disruptions. In the event of a power failure, a 9-volt battery located in the motor allows the head and foot sections to be lowered up to nine times. The included hand pendant offers large, easy-to-use controls, and the full side rails enhance safety. The innerspring mattress features a 1" high-density, firm, combustion-modified fiber topper on each side. Additionally, the bed has channel frame construction with a zinc-coated spring deck, providing superior strength and reduced weight. The motor is UL approved, and the bed frame is compatible with Drive's and most other manufacturers' bed ends, old and new. The transition box mounted on the foot section facilitates interchangeability by allowing the rotation of the high/low shaft to be changed. The headboard is taller than the footboard to better complement home décor, and the wood grain panels are break and scratch-resistant. The foot section weighs 50 percent less than conventional foot sections for safer and easier deliveries. Post-installation, the high/low shaft remains with the bed to prevent loss or forgetfulness during future setups. Labels and color-coded springs ensure accurate installation of the side rails for enhanced patient safety. The motor's unique design is entirely self-contained, further reducing weight and noise.
