The new JET 15" helical head planer features a powerful 3 HP motor and a helical cutterhead that houses 48 staggered carbide quick change knives, designed for a superior finish and quieter operation. The innovative Precision Air Strut System (PASS™) ensures consistent upward pressure on the cutterhead, minimizing the risk of board snipe. The machine offers a dual infeed speed control with options for 16 FPM or 20 FPM, allowing for efficient cutting with a maximum depth of cut of 1/8", a cutting height of 6", and a width capacity of 15". Additionally, the heavy-duty precision ground cast iron table and four-post design provide optimal control and support while passing boards through the planer. The large cast iron precision ground infeed and outfeed tables offer ample support for larger workpieces, while the large hand wheel with positive gear drive allows for easy adjustments to the desired board thickness. The magnetic switch includes a green safety light that indicates when the machine is powered, and a 4" dust port connects to a dust management system for maintaining a clean workspace.
