The PM2700 shaper is designed with advanced features, standing out in its class. It boasts an extra large 30 x 40" precision ground cast iron table, which comes equipped with a heavy-duty miter gauge and aluminum extruded support. The machine includes a built-in, omni-directional caster system (patent pending) that can be retracted into the base for convenient mobility. A quick-release lever facilitates rapid speed and belt changes, while the extruded aluminum fence features multiple T-slots, enabling the attachment of a wood face for a no-clearance surface around shaper or router bits. This fence allows for quick adjustments and secure locking, complemented by precision micro-adjustments on each side of the cutter for exact positioning. The spindle height is monitored with a digital readout, enabling adjustments to within .001", essential for aligning rail and stile cutters in raised panel door production. Additional features include an integrated caster system for mobility, a spindle height digital readout for fine adjustments across multiple passes, a heavy-duty tabletop for smooth stock feeding, quick lock belt tensioning for easy speed adjustments, and an industrial fence system with fine adjust dials. The PM2700 is powered by a 5HP totally enclosed motor that provides ample power, offers two reversible spindle speeds for diverse applications, and has a table that is predrilled and tapped for feeder mounting in two locations. It is also equipped with dual featherboards on the fence for enhanced workholding capabilities.
