The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple 5 x 12 NPT Male is manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230. This red brass nipple offers easier machining, reduced brittleness, and superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. The brass material provides excellent resistance to corrosion from water and heat and is resistant to attacks from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water.
