The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 6 x 4 NPT Male and is crafted from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230. This type of brass nipple is easier to machine and less brittle to work with compared to yellow brass, while also demonstrating superior resistance to corrosion (will not dezincify). Brass provides good corrosion resistance against water and heat, and it withstands attacks from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. Primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, it is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
