The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 1/8 inch by 1-1/2 inches NPT Male and is produced from seamless red brass pipe, which is Alloy 230. This red brass nipple is easier to machine, less brittle, and offers superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, including resistance to dezincification. The brass material provides good corrosion resistance to water and heat, and resists attack from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. It is primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, and is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
