Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 NPT Male is made from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230. This type of red brass nipple is easier to machine, less brittle to work with, and exhibits superior resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify.
