The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 1-1/4 x 6-1/2 inches with NPT male threads. Made from seamless red brass pipe, which is alloy 230, this product features excellent machinability and reduced brittleness, offering superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Brass provides reliable protection against corrosion from water, heat, saltwater, and exposure to acids, as well as from minerals and peaty soils present in water. This pipe nipple is primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, and it is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
