The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 1/4 inch by 2 inches with NPT male ends. It is made from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230, which is easier to machine and less brittle than yellow brass, providing superior resistance to corrosion and dezincification. The brass nipples offer good corrosion resistance against water, heat, saltwater, and acids, and can withstand minerals and peaty soils found in water. This product is primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, as well as in oil, gas, and steam applications.
