The Merit red brass seamless standard pipe nipple measures 3/8 inch by 2-1/2 inches with NPT male threads. It is produced from seamless red brass pipe, specifically Alloy 230, which is easier to machine, less brittle, and more corrosion-resistant than yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. This brass offers good corrosion resistance against water and heat, and resists attacks from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. It is primarily used for water applications in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, as well as in oil, gas, and steam systems.
