The Merit red brass seamless standard pipe nipple measures 1-1/4 inches by 3 inches with NPT male threads. It is manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, identified as alloy 230, known for being easier to machine, less brittle, and more corrosion-resistant compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Brass offers excellent corrosion resistance to water and heat and withstands attack from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils commonly found in water.
