The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 4 x 5-1/2 inches with NPT Male threading. Produced from Alloy 230 seamless red brass pipe, these brass nipples exhibit superior machinability, reduced brittleness, and high resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, as they will not dezincify. The material provides excellent corrosion resistance against water, heat, salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. Primarily designed for water use in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, the brass nipples are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
