The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 3/4" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications and is effective on heat-sensitive metals, usable in wet or dry applications. This belt protects heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys through a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, while the resin-bonded abrasive maintains durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and its ceramic/aluminum oxide blend provides superior cut-rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives, making it excellent for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. These belts come in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, with wide belts for wide belt sanders used in dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal edges, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used in sanding or blending wood pieces.
