The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 3/4" x 20 1/2" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, is effective on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. The belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys like stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys with a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, and the abrasive is bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, it is designed especially for stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend ensures a harder, longer-lasting abrasive capable of fast cutting and handling intense heat and stress. This blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the 777F an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. The belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts suitable for wide belt sanders used to dimension or finish wood panels and smooth metal sheet edges, medium-width belts for edge sanders to sand flat, narrow surfaces like panel edges, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
